Further expansion of the leadership team focused on supporting continued success in the UK and beyond

London, UK, November 10 2022: Silverfin, a leading cloud platform for accountants, welcomes Cameron Ford as General Manager for the UK & Growth Markets.

Founded in 2013 Silverfin has offices in London, UK as well as Ghent, Belgium and Amsterdam, Netherlands. The company has more than 800 leading accounting firms as customers in 13 countries globally. Silverfin’s cloud platform enables accountants to make their core accounting work faster, easier and better as well as underpinning the development and delivery of new advisory services.

Cameron is a qualified accountant with nearly 20 years experience in accounting and finance and is well placed to drive Silverfin’s continued growth in the UK and Ireland. His appointment is a clear affirmation of the company’s commitment to the region. Cameron will also be responsible for expansion into new regions or growth markets.

Cameron joins Domien Claeys, who was recently appointed as General Manager in Belgium, where Silverfin is a market leader. These two new appointments accompany associated changes to the organisation structure and reflect a stronger market-focused approach. Both Cameron and Domien report to Lisa Miles-Heal who was appointed as Silverfin CEO in April 2022.

Lisa Miles-Heal, commented: “Cameron is very experienced in the varied and challenging aspects of scaling a software business globally, having worked with several solutions developed in New Zealand that then successfully expanded internationally. He is fantastic at building teams and coaching talent, and will bring a dedicated focus to the UK team and our customers in this crucial market.“

Lisa continues: “In our time together at Unleashed, Cameron really impressed me with his strategic approach, effective planning and energy for execution. When I found out he wanted to move to the UK with his family and was looking for a role that would enable that, I jumped at the opportunity to work with him again.”

“I’m thrilled to be joining the team at Silverfin.” said Cameron Ford, “With such a strong product offering and really great people in place, there is massive potential. I believe that accountancy firms can use innovative technology solutions to underpin operational transformation and significant growth. I’m looking forward to enabling and accelerating the success of our customers, both in the UK and in other growth markets.”

About Silverfin:

Silverfin is the cloud platform that makes accountants successful. It improves the efficiency, competitiveness and profitability of compliance services, and powers the development and delivery of advisory services.

Silverfin takes financial data directly from client systems and hosts it securely in a single cloud Structured Data Hub. Templates then standardise, and automate, accounting workflows and use the data hub to make compliance easy, fast, and accurate.

But that’s only half the story. Leading firms use Silverfin to power their advisory services too. Looking at data and trends, right across the client portfolio is easy and automatic alerts warn of risks or identify opportunities to give advice, or sell additional services.
