In fact, <strong>stressful job assignments and long working hours <\/strong>are considered the biggest detractors from pursuing a career in accountancy, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accaglobal.com\/gb\/en\/professional-insights\/pro-accountants-the-future\/global-talent-trends-2023.html\"><strong>ACCA\u2019s<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>2023<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Global<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Talent<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Trends<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>survey<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This pressure can potentially sap morale, cause burnout and further <strong>reduce employee engagement <\/strong>across the board, especially in peak periods or in the face of repetitive tasks. Unsurprisingly, many talented accountants are looking for employers that offer autonomy and flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accaglobal.com\/gb\/en\/professional-insights\/pro-accountants-the-future\/global-talent-trends-2023.html\"><u>ACCA research<\/u><\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>87% want to work remotely at least one day a week in the future.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>88% want a better work-life balance moving forward.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>66% rate work-life balance as a major reason to choose an employer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, 35% of accountants who participated in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountingweb.co.uk\/tech\/accounting-software\/about-accountingweb-intelligence\"><strong>AccountingWEB<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountingweb.co.uk\/tech\/accounting-software\/about-accountingweb-intelligence\"><strong>Intelligence Capacity Challenge report<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>claim to have more clients than in previous years, but the same level of staff.
